FlowGlance uses a deliberately short list of cookies and browser storage — and no third-party ad trackers anywhere. This page lists every entry, exactly.

1. The complete list

NameTypeWherePurposeDuration
Clerk session cookiesCookiesflowglance.comKeep you signed in to your FlowGlance account. Set by Clerk, our authentication provider. Essential — the console cannot work without them. For your sign-in session, as managed by Clerk.
fw_excludeCookieflowglance.comOpt-out flag. When present, our own analytics script (fw.js) stops collecting data about your visits to our site.Persistent, until you clear your cookies.
_fw_vidlocalStorageSites using our scriptVisitor identifier set by fw.js on customer sites, so returning visits can be recognized as the same visitor. Contains a random ID, not your name or email.Until cleared — localStorage has no expiry; it persists until you or your browser removes it.
_fw_sidlocalStorageSites using our scriptSession identifier set by fw.js on customer sites, grouping the actions of a single visit into one session.Replaced when a new session begins; removable anytime by clearing site data.

That is the whole list. We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party analytics cookies.

2. On our site vs. on customer sites

The first two entries apply when you visit flowglance.com. The two localStorage entries are set by our fw.js script on customer sites that embed it — there, the site owner controls the analytics, and we process the data on their behalf. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

3. How to opt out

  • Our own analytics: set the fw_exclude cookie for flowglance.com in your browser, and fw.js will stop collecting on our site. Blocking the script with a content blocker works too — the site functions fine without it.
  • On sites using our script: clear or block site data (localStorage) for that site in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. You can also contact the site owner, who controls what is collected.
  • Clerk session cookies are essential: blocking them means you cannot stay signed in to the FlowGlance console. They are not used for tracking.
